Call for participation and entry – until 18th April 2024

To all Art & Design higher Schools and Academies in higher education, in EU countries, as well as Third countries from the list of participating countries.

EUROFABRIQUE ART CAMP

From 23 to 27 September 2024 during the XXIII Cerveira International Art Biennial, the Cerveira Art Biennial Foundation (FBAC) will host the third EuroFabrique Camp, comprised of workshops, walks, field work, lectures, masterclasses, screenings and art production, led by professionals in the field of art, curatorial practices and political and social activism.

Cerveira Art Biennial Foundation is inviting ten art and design schools, each proposing three participants, totalling 30 students to attend the EuroFabrique Art Camp in Cerveira from 23 to 27 September 2024.

The three students should be endorsed by the school and proposed by a teacher, who is welcome to accompany the group as an observer, travelling by their own means. In the opening days of the Art Camp, groups will be formed in order to mix participating students from each school.

Call for regional meetings, seminars, exhibitions, shows, workshops and etc.

Since more than 30 years, Cumulus is the only global association serving education and
research in art, design and media. To unleash the massive potential of Cumulusians and
their home institutions, we get together as the only true global community unleashing all
barriers, celebrating, and drumming education and research in all our disciplines to impact
by aligning especially local members and stakeholders strengthening economic, social,
cultural, and environmental development around the world aligned with what Cumulus was
founded for: Sharing knowledge and best practices.

Cumulus Regional Meeting offers a unique opportunity to intensify the connections
between members in our growing Cumulus family. The traditional Cumulus conferences
twice every year may not enough release the value of such a great association for its
inclusivity of the global community. After some pilot successful regional meetings in 2023 in
China and Japan have shown the value of getting together in driving the collective action
even in a minimalistic format, we open the Call for Cumulus Regional in 2024.

EDIDesK “Open Access Contents on Design for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion for Higher Education Programmes” aims at improving the teaching of Design for EDI at the level of the European Higher Education system.

The goal of the EDIDesK project is to improve the teaching of Design in the area of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) within the European Higher Education system through the use of inclusive digital tools and the development of new open access and multilingual educational contents.

It is a three-year Erasmus+ cooperation partnership project among institutions in the HE sector (KA220) and involves seven European partners: five HEIs and two NGOs working in Design and Design-related fields.

The project promotes the collaboration between partners to produce original results, both digital and intellectual, sustainably and inclusively.

Design Education for Social Change is a new Working group of Cumulus, which will have its inaugural meeting in Budapest, Hungary in May 2024 during the Cumulus conference P/References of Design.

The primary goal of this mapping project is to create a qualitative mapping of current design courses, units, and initiatives focused on Design Education for Social Change at Cumulus member institutions in order to foster knowledge sharing and collaborations at global level. The secondary goal of this project is to identify key members from the Cumulus community who potentially would like to be involved in this working group.

The survey form is available here. The form and information is handled by the group’s coordinators.
We are looking forward to receiving responses to this form until April 14.

Academic Advising:

  • Providing expertise in academic specialization areas, including the latest research and developments.

  • Contributing to the identification of the program’s general and specific objectives from a local perspective through collaboration with stakeholders from the institute.
  • Contributing to providing inputs based on best practices.

Design and Build the Programs:

  • Contributing to the development of educational content, including topics, lesson plans, and other educational materials in a clear manner based on local and international standards.
  • Designing and planning curricula, with an emphasis on the interconnection between different subjects and ensuring their logical and effective presentation for learning.
  • Contributing to the integration of innovative teaching methods and modern educational technologies based on recent studies and methods in education.
