7th edition of the Alpavirama International Youth Film Festival will be held from October 15-19, 2024. This year, the festival’s theme is ‘Reflected Realities,’ a portrait of reality through the lens of young filmmakers across the globe.

Alpavirama (“comma” in Sanskrit), International Youth Film Festival of short films, documentaries, and audiophiles celebrating the works of young filmmakers across the globe, is organized biennially by the Film and Video Discipline of NID, Ahmedabad, since 2011. The competition section is open to only young filmmakers (under 30), making it a unique film festival in India. Masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions are also organized during the festival.

Submission of Concept (By 15th September 2024)
Each entry must be accompanied by a Forwarding letter from the Head of Department.
Conveyance of Short-listed concepts : 15thof October 2024
Registration by the participants for participating in the show: 1st November 2024
Final Show: Demonstration of the final garment on the ramp (8th February 2025)
Short-listed contestants will be required to display their functional clothing live and in person at FTC 2025. Designs must be worn by a team-member/end-user who will demonstrate the ease-of-use and functionality of the clothing, while showing their design on the catwalk.

Prizes
Best three entries will be awarded cash prizes and a certificate.
Selected entries will be published in conference proceedings brought out by Springer.
All teams will get a certificate of participation.

EUROFABRIQUE ART CAMP

From 23 to 27 September 2024 during the XXIII Cerveira International Art Biennial, the Cerveira Art Biennial Foundation (FBAC) will host the third EuroFabrique Camp, comprised of workshops, walks, field work, lectures, masterclasses, screenings and art production, led by professionals in the field of art, curatorial practices and political and social activism.

Cerveira Art Biennial Foundation is inviting ten art and design schools, each proposing three participants, totalling 30 students to attend the EuroFabrique Art Camp in Cerveira from 23 to 27 September 2024.

The three students should be endorsed by the school and proposed by a teacher, who is welcome to accompany the group as an observer, travelling by their own means. In the opening days of the Art Camp, groups will be formed in order to mix participating students from each school.
